STEP ONE: Find Out Why Your License is Suspended or Revoked

You driver's license can be suspended for a number of different reasons. One of the most important things to know when you get a Driving While Suspended or Driving While Revoked charge is exactly why your license was revoked or suspended to begin with. Many clients don't know this information and it can take a lot of time and money to get it figured out. There are two ways to go about getting this information:

If you have an Illinois Driver's License, call the Secretary of State's Office at: (888) 261-5238

NOT FROM MISSOURI OR ILLINOIS? Find out who handles driver's licenses in your state here.

These people know exactly what holds there are on your license and exactly what you need to do to get rid of them. They can also let you know if you're eligible for a Limited Driving Privilege.

When you call, be prepared for a long wait, and make sure you have a pen and paper ready to write down all the information they give you. It's best to skip the automated system, it usually can't give you all the information you need.

This investigative process is typically available at a fee of $100. This fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to future services.

If you choose this option, we will gather all the necessary information and work up a personalized plan and price quote for handling your case from start to finish.

ONCE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHY YOUR LICENSE IS SUSPENDED OR REVOKED, YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT ACTION TO TAKE NEXT.
Step 2

**IMPORTANT---IF YOU FIND OUT THAT YOUR LICENSE IS SUSPENDED FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR (FTA) IN COURT, DO NOT TAKE ANY ACTION ON THOSE HOLDS UNTIL YOU READ THROUGH THE FTA SECTION ON STEP 2!!
