Limited Driving Privileges (LDP)

Depending upon the reason for your suspension or revocation, you may be eligible for Limited Driving Privileges. Some suspensions/revocations that may be eligible for LDP include: Points Revocations; Breath Test Refusal Revocations (after 90 days); Abuse and Lose Revocations; 5 or 10 year denials (in limited circumstances).

In order to apply for an LDP, you must:

  1. File proof of SR-22 insurance
  2. Fill out an application for Limited Driving Privilege and submit it to the DOR, UNLESS you are in a 5 or 10 year denial (see below).
  3. If you have more than one alcohol related action on your record, you must have an IID installed on all vehicles you will drive.

If you are currently in a 5 or 10 year denial, you must petition the court for an LDP. Please see our page about 5 and 10 year denials for more information.
